From the size of my collection, it wouldn't take a genius to figure out that I love candles. So, when ARUM offered me a chance to try one out from their new (and first!) collection, I couldn't resist. Furthermore, I'm always up for trying new products as it's always fun to discover new things, especially when they seem very promising.

Out of their selection, I chose Jasmine and Mint*, which is described as "clean and fresh like a serene morning in a foreign land". I do agree that it's a calming scent, which is why I like to burn it in the evenings to wind down after a day of working on my dissertation, or whatever other trips and tasks I have planned. However, I personally would swap the "fresh" for "floral", as the jasmine definitely overpowers the mint a lot more. Even so, I still really do like it, but it's just something to consider if you wanted something mintier.

If florals aren't your thing, Coconut and Lime or Fig and Cassis are options too! Considering all three, I think ARUM have definitely covered a lot of ground in appealing to different preferences in scent.

Each candle is priced at £34, or you can buy the whole collection for £89. Now, I know what you're thinking: that's expensive! And this is something I thought so too. However, there are also some things to consider. Firstly, the scent of the candle is extremely strong, and it doesn't even need to be burned for your room to room to already begin smelling lovely! On top of this, ARUM promises approximately 40 hours of burning, which I can imagine taking a long time to use up considering the strength of the fragrance. Therefore, I think you really do get your money's worth.

If that wasn't enough of a justification, surely the pink and rose gold aesthetic is enough to persuade you to buy one. Just think of it as a cute prop for Instagram (appealing to my blogger readers here)!
